yesterday, all freedom loving filipinos laid to rest their icon, their hero...TITA CORY...in our own little way we joined her...there are some of us who visited her at la salle, some of us accompanied her to manila cathedral, we were also with her during her last journey from manila cathedral to manila memorial park, some of us like me were glued to the tv to show how grateful we are, i envy these people who were with her physically till the last moment, i envy those people who waited long hours just to see a glimpse of TITA CORY. i envy those people who lined up the streets just to say goodbye to her from quirino, nichols, and sucat.
but there are four filipinos who i envy most, Honor guards: Antonio Candiente, Gener Lagindan, Edgardo Rodriguez, Danilo Maalab....they were with her silently....always the perfect officer and a gentleman, to all filipinos who joined TITA CORY'S journey from manila cathedral to be with her love NINOY....these four filipinos gave the most heartfelt gratitude to CORY...from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!
